If we try to switch over and do it in OSX with the exact same hardware configuration we have a no go.The Vuforia Engine team is happy to announce our newest version. We have just run some tests and confirmed that the 02R still interfaces beautifully as a 16 channel PT volume control surface in PT 5.1.3 and OS 9.2.2, but without the MM16 or DC16 profile available for 6.4.1, we are dead in the water as far as a control surface.
CS-10 did not work in PT 5 and it does not work in 6. It might work on HD with it's USB interface but with Mixplus this is a tragic loss of functionality. Despite Digi's claim, CS-10 does NOT work as a controller profile - not under our mixplus circumstances.
The only controller profiles that ever worked for us in OS9 were MM16 and DC16, and regrettably these are not offered on Digi's legacy controller page. The crucial legacy controllers we need to make the 02R work as a control surface in 6.4.1 are missing. We have been trying to get the 02R working as a control surface with a Mix Plus 6.4.1 and here are our conclusions. Thanks for any advice any of you might have for me but we don't even know what the usb cable will allow us to do.

And yamaha's website doesn't provide any software/firmware downloads.Īnybody out there have any experience with upgrading the firmware on this board and can help out would be GREATLY appreciated.Īlso, we don't even know once we update the firmware (godwilling) what the USB capability will give us exactly.Will it make the faders on the Yamaha 02R match the virtual faders in pro tools like the digi 002 does? that would be EXCELLENT if we could make it work that way. A while ago we tried using a usb cable and the Yamaha Studio Manager on our mac as well as a pc without any luck at even getting the studio manager to communicate with the 02R96. At our studio we use a Yamaha 02R96 as our front end to our PT HD system.We have heard that there should be a firmware update for the yamaha but cannot figure out 1) how to check what the current firmware version of the board is or 2) how we would go about acquiring and then installing the firmware.
